With its over 60 years experience in the market sector dedicated to the production of quartz equipments, Helios Italquartz, based in Milan, Italy, is very proud of its family-based origins.
The company’s production, which includes quartz items, ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) lamps, SIC heaters and production equipment, is utilized for a wide range of applications in various sectors, such as in the glass market, chemicals, medicals, foodstuffs, textiles, printings and research sector.

The Helios Italquartz products range includes:

- quartz IR short and medium waves, mono and twin-tube emitters, with or without gold-coated reflectors, utilized for glass tempering, annealing, bending, plastic film coupling and screen printing, float glass and mirror processing for any oven range;
- clear and unclear quarts tubes, rods, plates, discs, rings in different quality for the semiconductor, lighting, chemical, optical fibre industries and research laboratories.
- UV germicidal lamps are UV low pressure lamps placed in apparatus able to disinfect and purify both air and water. These equipment are used especially in the medical, foodstuff and textile industries.
- UV Polymerization equipment with UV medium pressure lamps for enamelling, drying screen printing inks, paints, UV reactive coatings and adhesives for decorating and furnishing sector;
- Manwood 25-N equipment is an apparatus that takes advantage of the UV black light at 254 nm, it is suitable for photochemical and chromatographical applications, however it is also the most powerful analyser able to identify the tinned sheet coated side of the glass even under high brightness condition. Such identification is very important before the laminating, mirroring, printing and decorating processes in the glass industry;
- Automatic tin – detector is an apparatus that is the technological development of the Manwood 25-N. It is installed and fixed directly on the glass transportation line before the process, so that every piece of glass is controlled. The apparatus has a low tension electrical contact in the electrical panel, connected with the glass carrying line or with any kind of alarm for the immediate signalling of a mistake. Equipped with a regulator of sensibility, the user can regulate the sensor for any kind of glass.
- SIC heaters, produced using high-quality silicon carbide, utilized in tempering and smelting glass furnaces, for float glass, ceramic, metallurgic and light chemistry industries as well as for semiconductors analysis, etc.
- Quartz glassware which include tubes, rods, cells, plates, boats, crucibles, porosity discs, dins, cones, epiradiators and candles in different shapes and qualities. - INVE '96 aging test has been developed and built for the determination in laboratory of the degree of resistance and ageing time of any material by exposing it to ultraviolet and infrared artificial rays instead of to natural sunlight. This apparatus can be helpful in any sector.
- Photochemical equipments take advantage of UV light for chemical reactions. This apparatus is particularly indicated for laboratories and research centres.
